Lori Emerson ist ordentliche Professorin für Medienwissenschaften, Direktorin des Intermedia Arts, Writing and Performance Program und stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Graduate Studies an der University of Colorado Boulder. Sie ist außerdem Gründerin und Direktorin des Media Archaeology Lab. Emerson ist Autorin von Other Networks: A Radical Technology Sourcebook (Anthology Editions, 2025), Co-Autorin mit Darren Wershler und Jussi Parikka von THE LAB BOOK: Situated Practices in Media Studies (University of Minnesota Press, 2021), Autor von Reading Writing Interfaces: From the Digital to the Bookbound (University of Minnesota Press June, 2014) und Herausgeberin zahlreicher Sammlungen.
