Analogue modular systems for generating sound are in high demand. Technologies from the last millennium their influence and their development in the artistic context are topics of this event. The focus is on the reconstruction of Max Brand’s optical synthesizer from the late 1950s. Peter Donhauser gives an insight into the circuits of this machine and Klaus Filip composes a new piece for the newly made replica of this optical synthesizer. Electric Indigo performs on the Multimoog and Korg MS-10 her composition structuring contours and Lissie Rettenwander and her worldwide first tuning fork ensemble lead us to the origins of sound synthesis.
