Nguyễn + Transitory
Nguyễn + Transitory develop sonic-choreography as a method for approaching choreography through sound. Their performances and installations are structured by sonic logics that shape movement, spatial relations, and temporal experience, drawing from both traditional folk practices and contemporary forms.
Recent works centre on the development of custom touch-activated musical apparatuses that translate contact, pressure, and proximity into live sonic structures. These apparatuses function as instruments, choreographic scores, and spatial architectures, organizing how bodies move, listen, and co-compose within a site. Through this practice, Nguyễn + Transitory sustain an open field where historical materials, embodied knowledge, and technical systems remain active and mutable within contemporary performance contexts.
