Ulysse Gohin
Ulysse Gohin is a sound, visual and multimedia artist, and musician. He studied arts&crafts at ENSAAMA (Paris), contemporary arts with a master at HEAR (Strasbourg), then electraoacoustic music and jazz piano at the Strasbourg Conservatory.
His multifaceted work consists of visual works, installations, performances, and concerts. He combines crafts, kinetic art, sound art, electroacoustics and scenography in a research focused on listening, vibration, and energy conversion. The repurposing of found objects and electronic waste plays a central role in his approach.
His sound installations generate subtle vibrations that breathe through time and space, inviting the listener to sharpen their perception. Meanwhile, his graphic and sculptural works reveal invisible phenomena related to sound. He has worked with the Musica festival, the HANATSUmiroir and L’Imaginaire ensembles, among others. He form a duo with composer Simon Louche, with whom he creates concerts combining sound installations and contemporary music. He has participated in various exhibitions and concerts in Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Basel, Stuttgart, Cologne, Amsterda a. o.
