is a cultural scholar, publicist, and artist. His work—both theoretical and practical—explores the Historical Avant-Garde and the evolving collaboration between humans and machines. Since 2017, he has been writing about AI and creativity in his blog Merzazine. His essays and interviews have appeared in Harper’s Magazine, Perspektive, Frankfurter Hefte, Die Zeit, and EIKON. In his book KI-KUNST (2nd revised edition, Wagenbach Verlag, 2024), he examines the past and present of generative AI in art.
