Claudia Slanar is an art historian, curator, and writer working at the intersection of video/film and fine arts. She is the coeditor of a monograph on experimental filmmaker James Benning and her texts have been published in international books and exhibition catalogues. From 2015-2017 she was an assistant professor at the Department for Site-Specific Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna where she taught seminars on creative writing and site-specificity. Since 2014 Claudia Slanar has been the curator of the Ursula Blickle Video Archive at 21er Haus—Museum of Contemporary Art and in 2017 she also became the curator of the Blickle Kino.
