Elisabeth Flunger is a percussionist, composer, performer and sound artist. She comes from Italy and lives in Vienna, where she studied musicology, ethnology, percussion and composition. She plays improvised and composed contemporary music, as a soloist and in collaboration with musicians of different styles. She worked with ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, die reihe, United Instruments of Lucilin. She also works as a performer, composer and musician in theatre and dance productions, holds improvisation and composition workshops for children and adults and conceives cross-disciplinary site- and theme-specific installations and performances.

Her favourite instrument is a collection of metal objects, which she uses in concerts, installations and performances. For these instrument she keeps developing special playing techniqes and solo pieces in which chance is an important player.
