is a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, funded by a Dilthey-Fellowship. She studied Musicology, Slavic and Comparative Literature in Munich, Moscow and Los Angeles. She is author of -Schallkunst. Eine Literaturgeschichte der Musik in der frühen russischen Avantgarde- (Wien/München 2003). Her current area of research is the history of research in hearing in its relation to music, 1850 to 2000.
