lives and works in NY. Sobell is a pioneer in the artistic use of video, computer and interactivity as well as web performances. Since 1969, when she first used video to document the uncontrolled interactions of her sculptures with the viewer, she has been exploring the area in which video allows her to manipulate the relationship between time and space, and to form an area for human experience in which the mediatized event interacts with the public experience, Memory and relationships overlap. Previous artistic works in this area include ParkBench, Vir- tuAlice and the ongoing project Interactive Encephalographic Brainwave Drawings.
