DI Dr. Roland Alton-Scheidl heads the fairkom association and teaches at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. Born in Zurich, attended school in Tyrol, studied Computer Science and Media Art in Vienna, performed research work at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, working as IT consultant since 1994 for several large companies, the public administration, universities, SMEs and NPOs. Author of “Ethify Yourself”, spokesperson of Creative Commons Austria, conception and realization of online services like TERMINO.gv.at, fairchat, fairmeeting, fairteaching, fair.tube or fairsuch. Co-founder of a few networking organisations for sustainability or policy making in the media sector.
