Sebastian Gürtl is a master’s student in the Software Engineering and Management program at Graz University of Technology. He is currently writing his master’s thesis on developing a framework for search applications that utilize partitions of the open web index. His research interests encompass information retrieval, human‐computer interaction, human-centered design, natural language processing, intelligent and interactive systems, machine learning, information visualization and network science. He is actively involved in the Horizon Europe project OpenWebSearch.eu, where he focuses on creating a framework that enables users to search for general or domain-specific information for particular purposes.
